How to use SPT1 Bridge on Mac OS X

This article will teach you how to use Bridge to get data from your SPT GPS and to remove old data from your SPT GPS.

We've written another article that teaches you how to install Bridge.

This article is for users of Mac OSX. If you are using Windows see the How to use Bridge on Windows article

Requirements

  • If using the first generation device. Pre-installed USB device driver for the first generation SPT unit.
  • Device driver is not required for the next generation device.

Important note for Mac OS X Users

  • When running Bridge on MAC we can support multiple devices of the same kind (e.g. multiple first gen devices or multiple next gen devices) but not a mix of both because of driver incompatibility issues.
  • Bridge cannot auto detect a device (when you plugin/remove a device to/from the computer). Bridge searches for devices at the start. Make sure you plugin all the devices before doing operations (e.g. Download, Erase) on the devices. If you have to change devices, you have to restart the Bridge.
  • Feel free to watch our video on how to download files from the SPT1 and SPT2 to Bridge. Bridge on Mac OS X VIDEO
